See god in every pair of eyes, in the mountains, water, trees and animals. See god in ourself.
In order to be one, we must know that there are five types of restlessness.
The first is due to the place we are in. When we move away from certain places, streets or houses, we immediately feel better. Chanting, singing, or the innocence of children playing and laughing can change this atmospheric restlessness. If we chant and sing, the vibration in the place changes.
The second is restlessness in the body. Eating the wrong food, eating at odd times, not exercising and overworking can cause physical restlessness. The remedy for this is exercise, moderation in work habits and following a simple diet.
The third is mental restlessness. It is caused by ambition, strong thoughts, likes or dislikes. Knowledge alone can cure this restlessness; this includes seeing life from a broader perspective, knowing about the Self and realizing the impermanence of everything. If we achieve everything, so what? We shall die anyway. Knowledge of our death or life, confidence in the Self and in the divine can all calm down mental restlessness.
There is also emotional restlessness. Any amount of knowledge does not help here. Sudarshan Kriya helps. With it all emotional restlessness vanishes. Also, the presence of a guru, a wise person or a saint, can help calm emotional restlessness.
The fifth type of restlessness is rare; It is the restlessness of the soul.
When everything feels empty and meaningless. Do not try to get rid of this feeling. Embrace it! This restlessness of the soul can bring genuine prayer in we. It brings perfection and miracles in life. It is also needed to get that innermost longing for the divine. Celebrations (satsang) and the presence of enlightened people soothe the restlessness of the soul. Do not look for the divine somewhere in the sky. See god in every pair of eyes, in the mountains, water, trees and animals. See God in ourselves.
Heightened awareness brings we close to the reality. For this we must increase our prana. When we have reverence for the whole universe, we will be in harmony with it.
(Thanks Meena!)

Initiated in 2009 by Israeli President Shimon Peres, Facing Tomorrow is a global conference that aims to the betterment of tomorrow for Israel, the Jewish people and the world at large.
Leading economic, political, intellectual, and technological experts from Israel and around the world gathered in Jerusalem last week to deliver messages of hope; our own’s Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founder of The Art of Living Foundation, along with other panelists delivered messages to the world at the 2009 Israeli Presidential Conference:
Pluralism and embracing people of all cultures should be part of our education. When an individual thinks that he belongs to this religion or that religion and gets closed up and doesn’t allow others to be part of his life. That’s when fanaticism begins.

At the same occassion, Sri Sri also spoke to Israeli’s TV Personality, Dan Shilon. Responding to Shilon’s question about stopping the world for an hour for 10 days, Sri Sri said:
Stopping our mind, stopping the racing mind. It is always thinking about the past or it is always thinking about the future. We are angry about the past or anxious about the future. To take a fresh look at the world, the situation, you need to wake up and see, – as Mahatma Gandhi used to say never look back. He would say lets see what we should do now and for the future. That gives a lot of energy, encouragement, enthusiasm, and lifts you up from the ashes even though there are ashes around you.
